The No-Code Platform Powering the Future of Cultural Heritage

A powerful yet simple platform that helps anyone in the cultural heritage world design and share amazing interactive experiences.

Empowering Everyone to Create Cultural Experiences

UNICHE is creating a powerful yet simple platform that helps anyone in the cultural heritage world design and share amazing interactive experiences—without needing any coding skills. Whether you’re a museum professional, a researcher, a creative freelancer, or a small cultural organisation, UNICHE gives you the tools to work together and bring cultural stories to life in multiple formats.

The platform brings together advanced technologies into one seamless space: a content repository, an authoring environment, ready-to-use experience apps, and an evaluation tool. It connects directly with the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH), giving users easy access to high-quality cultural content from across Europe.

With UNICHE, cultural items can be reused in smart, AI-assisted design tools and transformed into engaging onsite, hybrid, or online exhibitions. Built-in evaluation features help creators understand visitor reactions and continuously improve the experience.

UNICHE will first be tested in real cultural settings—archaeological sites, museum exhibitions, and mobile displays. Then, an open call will invite small cultural organisations and creative professionals to try the platform themselves, helping grow a vibrant community of cultural innovators.

Solutions

Powering the Future of Cultural Experience Creation

AI-powered experiences

A No-Code Platform for Creating Cultural Experiences

UNICHE delivers an easy-to-use, no-code platform that empowers museums, researchers, creatives, and cultural organisations to design and share rich, interactive heritage experiences.

With seamless access to European cultural content and AI-assisted design tools, users can effortlessly transform exhibits into immersive onsite, hybrid, or online experiences—without technical barriers.

The result: faster creation, higher-quality storytelling, and broad accessibility for institutions of all sizes.

Unified Ecosystem

A Complete Ecosystem for Exhibits, Exhibitions & Evaluation

UNICHE goes beyond a simple creation tool—it delivers a fully connected ecosystem that supports the entire cultural experience lifecycle from start to finish. This ecosystem brings together four core pillars: Exhibits, Experience Design, Exhibitions, and Evaluation.

At its heart is a shared, standards-based content repository that connects directly to the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH), giving users immediate access to high-quality cultural assets from across Europe. These assets flow seamlessly into a collaborative authoring environment, where users can co-create interactive narratives and multimedia experiences enhanced by AI-assisted tools.

Once designed, the experiences can be deployed through flexible exhibition apps suited for onsite installations, hybrid setups, or fully remote digital access—ensuring reach and accessibility for diverse audiences. The cycle is completed with an integrated evaluation framework that gathers visitor feedback and engagement metrics, enabling creators to refine and continuously improve their exhibitions.

By uniting creation, deployment, and evaluation into one coherent system, UNICHE empowers organisations to deliver richer, more insightful cultural experiences with significantly less effort.

Real-World Pilots Showcasing UNICHE in Action.

Pilot 1: Reimagining Ancient Archaeological Sites

Step into the past like never before. At two remarkable open-air sites—the Kalapodi Sanctuary in Greece and the Messapian city walls in Italy—UNICHE brings centuries of history to life through immersive AR and VR storytelling.

Visitors can explore reconstructed temples, fortifications and ritual spaces, witnessing how these sites evolved over time. What once required deep imagination now unfolds vividly in front of them, making complex archaeological narratives accessible to all.

Impact:

  • Immersive reconstructions reveal lost architectural phases
  • Story-rich digital overlays enhance understanding
  • Archaeologists can create experiences without technical barriers

Pilot 2: Transforming Museum Navigation Experiences

In Florence’s Museo Galileo, UNICHE is turning a highly specialised navigation gallery into a vibrant, interactive journey. Visitors can now engage with 16th–17th century nautical instruments through AI-personalised content, AR/VR simulations, and intuitive app-based interactions.

What was once an overlooked room becomes a highlight—where visitors of all ages discover how explorers navigated the world and how technology shaped the Age of Discovery.

Impact:

  • Personalised stories tailored to each visitor
  • AR/VR tools make complex scientific objects easier to grasp
  • A more accessible, engaging and multilingual museum experience

Pilot 3: Preserving Architecture Through Portable Hybrid Exhibitions

UNICHE is helping the Museum of Architecture in Wrocław protect endangered modernist buildings by giving them a second life—as interactive digital twins.

This innovative portable exhibition blends physical artefacts with VR/AR experiences, allowing audiences anywhere to explore lost or threatened structures in stunning detail. Modular and mobile, it brings architectural heritage to people beyond traditional museum walls.

Impact:

  • Virtual preservation of disappearing buildings
  • Engaging hybrid exhibitions that travel easily
  • Cost-effective, sustainable formats for storytelling and outreach
