UNICHE presented at the webinar ‘The Cultural Heritage Cloud: new projects, lasting impacts’!
On 1 December 2025, the UNICHE project took part in the online event The Cultural Heritage Cloud: New Projects, Lasting Impacts, a webinar dedicated to showcasing the newest members of the Cultural Heritage Cloud (ECCCH). The event brought together EC representatives, cloud infrastructure experts, cultural heritage organisations and EU-funded project teams committed to transforming how Europe preserves, enriches and shares its cultural heritage.

UNICHE was presented by Dr. Chairi Kiourt from the ATHENA Research Centre, the project’s Technical Coordinator. His presentation introduced UNICHE’s scientific and technical ambition while positioning it within the broader ecosystem of ECCCH projects.

During his presentation, Dr. Kiourt stressed the fresh perspectives and scientific innovation brought in by UNICHE, providing an overview of the expected scientific contributions and how these can solve real problems for the heritage community. Moreover, Dr. Kiourt described how UNICHE will leverage the Cultural Heritage Cloud and the main technical challenges foreseen at this point. Dr. Kiourt also emphasised UNICHE’s strong commitment to collaboration: working closely with other ECCCH projects to share tools, harmonise approaches and co-create best practices for long-term sustainability.
